Mother De Sales in 1905 describes Sr. Catherine going to a local prison in Puerto Rico to minister to an inmate there. She performed the fuction due to her advanced Spanish and ability to communicate with the inmate.

In this August 3, 1905 letter to Mother Joseph, Mother Demetrias gives her eye-witness account of a riot which erupted in San Juan.

In this 1905 report to Mother Joseph about the mission in Aquadilla, Mother Demetrias describes the condition of their house there as well as their methods in countering Protestant missionaries.
